Part 1: this website

This part explains how Afribit Software (Pty) Ltd (“AFRIBIT”), the responsible party, handles personal information collected through www.afribit.co.za, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

• Discovery call requests: your name, work email, company or department, and, if you give them, your phone number, role, area of interest and message.
• Short enquiries: your name, email address and the number of users in your organisation.
• Insights by email: your email address, and the date you confirmed your subscription.
• Spam protection: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person is filling in the form. Cloudflare processes technical signals from your browser for this check.

How we use it

We use your details only to respond to your enquiry, arrange and prepare for a call, and, if you subscribed and confirmed, to send you new insights. We do not sell personal information.

Where it is kept

Enquiries are stored in Microsoft Azure in the South Africa North region and sent to our team by email through Azure Communication Services. We keep them for as long as we need to respond to you and manage our relationship, and then delete them.

Cookies and analytics

The site works without cookies. If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement to understand how the site is used. Nothing loads if you decline, and your choice is kept in your browser. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; withdrawing removes the Google cookies and stops measurement straight away.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, object to its use, or unsubscribe at any time. Email hello@afribit.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

Part 2: Afribit Agentic AI

1. Introduction

Afribit Software (Pty) Ltd (“Afribit”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our customers and users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use Afribit Agentic AI and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Afribit Agentic AI may collect and process the following types of information:

Customer account information

• Organisation name
• Tenant identifier
• Contact information provided by the customer

System usage information

• Service usage metrics
• Deployment configuration details
• Diagnostic logs for service reliability

Customer-provided data

Customers may connect their Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. Afribit Agentic AI processes configuration metadata required to deploy and operate the platform.

Afribit does not access or use customer content except where required to deliver the service.

3. How We Use Information

Information collected may be used to:

• Deploy and operate Afribit Agentic AI services
• Authenticate customer environments
• Monitor system performance and reliability
• Improve platform functionality
• Provide technical support

4. Data Storage and Security

Afribit Agentic AI deployments occur within the customer’s Azure environment through Microsoft Azure Managed Applications. Customer data and resources remain within the customer’s Azure subscription unless otherwise specified.

We implement industry-standard security controls including:

• Azure role-based access control
• Secure credential storage
• Encryption in transit and at rest where supported by Azure services

5. Data Sharing

Afribit does not sell personal data. Information may be shared only:

• With Microsoft Azure services required for deployment and operation
• With authorised service providers supporting the Afribit platform
• When required by law or legal process

6. Customer Control of Data

Customers maintain ownership and control of their data stored within their Azure environment. Customers may delete resources or terminate deployments at any time.

7. International Data Transfers

Afribit services may operate on Microsoft Azure infrastructure in regions selected by the customer. Data handling is subject to Microsoft Azure regional compliance standards.

8. Changes to This Policy

Afribit may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised date.
